Who Should Apply?
This pilot program is designed for nonprofits that meet the following criteria:
Growth-Ready Organizations
Nonprofits with clear growth objectives and the capacity to implement expanded programming.
Established Organizations
Nonprofits with at least one year of operational history and demonstrated impact.
Active Grant Seekers
Organizations currently applying for grants or planning to submit applications in the near future.
Dedicated Staff
At least one team member who can participate consistently throughout the pilot program.
Commitment to Learning
Teams willing to engage actively in the program and implement recommended strategies.
Diverse Missions Welcome

Is there a cost to participate?
The Nonprofit PowerUp Grant Writing Pilot is being offered at no cost to selected organizations as part of our commitment to strengthening the nonprofit sector.
How much time will participation require?
Organizations should expect to commit approximately 3-5 hours per week to program activities, including workshops, individual consultations, and implementation work.
What if we're not selected for this cohort?
Organizations not selected for the initial pilot may be invited to future cohorts. All applicants will also receive access to select Pathfinder resources to support their grant development efforts—even if not chosen for this round.
Can faith-based organizations apply?
Yes, as long as your organization is inclusive, does not require religious participation, and your programming serves a broader community without discrimination.
Will the program help us apply for specific grants?
Yes. You’ll receive personalized guidance for current or upcoming grant applications your organization is preparing. In addition, you’ll build general grant writing skills to improve your overall funding strategy.
Who is eligible to apply?
Eligible organizations must:
Be actively applying (or preparing to apply) for grants
Demonstrate charitable purpose and measurable community benefit
Show leadership commitment and community support
Have growth potential and a clear vision
We do not accept for-profit businesses, housing programs, schools, medical practices, or heavy lobbying organizations.
What happens after the pilot ends?
By the end of the pilot, participants will have a strong grant proposal, clarity on operations, and an understanding of fiscal sponsorship. Selected organizations may be considered for long-term partnership with Pathfinder.
